LG TAG – Mobile phone

LG TAG – Mobile phone

Designer: Eric Stoddard

Speed Design Studio developed a concept of a new mobile phone specially for LG. LG Tag is an accessory that clips to the ear and makes your hands free. Simple touch screen makes it easy to move around. LG Tag has compact size, but is able to solve complex tasks. For example, entering data through a computer connected via cable or wirelessly. There is also a possibility to navigate with a voice control. The user has access to social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, etc.

LG wants to be more original and therefore has big hopes for this little accessory, that repeats LG logo in shape and color. There are no buttons – just a round touch screen and a microphone with speaker on rear panel. We impatiently look forward to hear the reviews of the users.

Nokia E97 Envelope

Nokia E97 Envelope

Designer: Fabien Nauroy

Shape of this mobile was inspired by an envelope. Instead of a letter there is a screen inside, which can be pulled out and function as a separate device.
This phone has a keyboard  with an AZERTY layout and a small LCD display above.  The leather case contains a second pocket  for holding an additional screen. The most interesting part of this phone is the pull-out LED display that can be used for storing, editing and sharing files and pictures. This magic screen allows you to surf webpages and share photos  with others. It can be used as a photo frame and a book. Screen uses special E-ink technology which  imitates a real ink on a paper. It creates unique design and spends much less energy. Nokia E97 supports two SIM cards.

Solar Gorilla works via two PV (photovoltaic) solar panels, which generate electric current when they are exposed to sunlight.  The charger has 20V power socket out and standard 5V USB socket. It can simultaneously charge a laptop and one small gadget. Unfortunately, it doesn't come with a battery to store energy. To achieve a 3D image without need of glasses, whatever the position and angle to the screen of the viewer, the new Regza GL1 family utilize a special perpendicular lenticular sheet (an array of lenses) and Toshiba’s image processing technology to create nine parallax images from the original content and create to 3D.

The first two models from the series are 20-inch 20GL1 and 12-inch 12GL1. Toshiba Qosmio - first glassless 3D laptop

Toshiba Qosmio - first glassless 3D laptop

Toshiba has become the market leader in 3D-live - glassless 3D technologies. In 2010 the first 3D-live Toshiba Regza TV has been released in the Japanese market. In 2012 Toshiba released the first 3D-live laptop - Qosmio. While you watch 3D content, built-in webcam tracks your eyes whenever you shift your position. The result - better 3D representation no matter from what angle you look at the screen. But, as in case of all innovations, we should not rush to buy it. Every first model presenting the new technology requires time to be improved.  Qosmio laptop needs a more powerful battery and improved tracking cam system - as sometimes when you change your position, the screen becomes blurry for few seconds. We recommend to wait for the second improved model.

Anyway we congratulate Toshiba for being the first company who presented the first glassless laptop and TV and we wait impatiently for next Toshiba surprises.

Audi R8 V10

Audi R8 V10

Audi is launching the next variant of its top-of-the-line model. With the R8, the brand has established itself at the forefront of high-end sports cars from the very start – and now comes the R8 V10. Its 5.2-liter, ten-cylinder engine churns out 386 kW (525 hp) and 530 Nm (390.91 lb-ft) of torque, which makes for breathtaking performance. With superior Audi technologies such as quattro all-wheel drive, the lightweight aluminum body, the innovative all-LED headlights, and its striking design, the R8 V10 takes pole position against the competition.

The 5.2-lire engine, which was originally designed jointly between Audi and Lamborghini is similar to the one found in the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4. The Audi variant puts out an impressive 386 kW (at 6,500 rpm) and 530 Nm of torque (at 8,000 rpm). Conveniently it produces 26kW and 10Nm less than its Italian brother.

Audi R8 is a two-door coupe that exudes the elegance of a Formula One racer car. The stylish super-car flaunts muscular exteriors and luxurious interiors. Superior ride and handling is provided by the vehicle, through its finely tuned suspension system. The interiors of the coupe are spacious for two people, with a small cargo shelf provided in the rear portion. With a powerful petrol engine, the car accelerates rapidly and promises to deliver commendable top speed.

BRP Can-Am Spyder SE5
2012
BRP Can-Am Spyder SE5

Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) has now taken to the streets. BRP's Can-Am Spyder is a three-wheeler that is neither motorcycle nor sports car, but an intriguing blend of both.

With the markets for motorcycles and sports cars maturing as quickly as their target audience (the ubiquitous baby boomer), planners and designers at BRP saw an opportunity for a different kind of vehicle — one that could deliver most of the liberating thrills of a motorcycle without the inherent risks of a fundamentally unstable machine.

The team decided on three wheels: two in front and a wider drive wheel in back. It would be a vehicle you sit atop and ride rather than sit in and drive, unlike several three-wheel, sit-in designs that already existed. And since three wheels are more unstable than four, BRP's new creation would make extensive use of modern electronic stability technology.

The Spyder is 105 inches long with a 68-inch wheelbase, and its front wheels span a track of 51.5 inches. Its total height is 45.1 inches and the seat is perched 29 inches off the ground. The claimed dry vehicle weight is 697 pounds. Not bad for a vehicle with two wheels in front (with 165/65R-14 tires) and one in back (225/50R-15), plus three disc brakes.

The front suspension is a classic double A-arm with an anti-roll bar, and the rear has a swing arm controlled by a monoshock. The coil springs can be adjusted for passenger and cargo load with a small tool provided in the standard kit. Most owners would probably be more inclined to make these adjustments if the springs had integrated levers.
The Spyder is powered by a 990-cc V-twin engine that delivers 106 horsepower at 8500 rpm. Designed by BRP's Austrian-based Rotax division, a world-leading builder of small engines, it is the same you get with the vaunted Aprilia Mille RSV 1000 R sport bike, tuned with a greater emphasis on torque.

Tango review – narrow electric car by Commuter Cars
2012

Commuter Cars company has presented Tango T600 and now plans to gain a big share on the electric cars market.

The most surprising feature is Tango’s wide – only 99 cm.  Such a narrow car seems to be unstable, but producer guarantees it’s security. It was designed as a high-performance sports car with a low center of gravity and extra side protection side bars.

Being so narrow is a big advantage on a busy road. The Tango's ability to maneuver through traffic is second to none.

Tango is not afraid of traffic jams and needs a very small place for parking. These reasons can really make it the most popular city car.

It is definitely not a cheap car, but it already enjoys American roads. George Clooney has become one of the first owners of a narrow Tango.

At the moment you can reserve a place for the Tango. All you need is a $10,000 deposit. For more details contact the official site.
